Softbank et al kick off half-trillion-dollar Stargate AI infrastructure project

SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX are funding a data center called Stargate with an initial $100B . Ultimate goal is $500B. Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI are the key initial technology partners. Somehow they promise to remain loyal to Azure. Curiously, Nvidia is still in the mix, suggesting some sense of risk mitigation prevails. https://2001archive.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/stargate-1.jpg?w=1024
