Small Cells, Small Sales. Qualcomm Moves On.
Lightreading reports that Qualcomm appears to be in retreat from the current small-cell market. Late last year, however, it began notifying the market of plans to stop selling FSM100, FSM200 platforms to new customers. While it will continue to provide support for existing clients, there is to be only one further software release, too. Members of the Qualcomm team involved in small-cell development have already left the company.
